‘In everything, treat others as you would want them to treat you, for this fulfils the law and the prophets.’
It is teaching you to treat other people the way you wish they would treat you, to think about how you should act towards others. It tells you that this fulfils the law, i.e., this is what God wants you to do.
If you are following the Golden Rule, you will want everybody to be happy, just as you will want yourself to be happy. Therefore, you will work for Human Rights etc.
In the exam it is best if you can give the reference for the quote, but good enough if you can say 'In the book of Matthew the Golden Rule says.....' it is even OK if you can say 'The Golden Rule says.....' - just learn it :-)
